As of this posting we still have not heard anything w/ regards to the Cystic Fibrosis test. We assume (i know what doing this can make, so please keep this blog a G rated read) that it is negative based on our conversation w/ the cardiologist and the RN we are w/ tonight. The RN (I would state her name, but her name tag is flipped around, ya'know how that works, right?) stated that if it came back positive they usually run it 2-3 more times. They have not ran the test yet again or mentioned it. The RN is going to check in the records and let us know if she can find anything out.
Hayleigh will most certainly have to have the adenoids and ear tubes surgery soon! I have to get Michelle through this major ordeal first. Dr. Grifka (see atleast he isn't the MD, ok?) simply said that he did not have care when we had the surgery done, just as long as it isn't tomorrow morning at 0745. (smile) It will probably need to be done in the next couple of weeks. The child has suffered long enough. ("Amen")
The other 3 girls who were staying at home w/ my brother Tony ( your the best little bro ever!!) were able to join us for the first time at the hospital for a Valentines Dinner catered by my wonderfully supportive parents (Brent and Dawn) and Tony and his Fiance Julie joined us. It was really neat. My dad told my mother as they were coming in w/ the coolers that if anybody asked they were to tell them they had organs they were delivering! (Wow that was the best LIVER and onions ever! The bacon on top was a nice touch.)
In closing I can't thank everyone enough for your continued support and prayers! It really is making a HUGE difference. We check your comments on the blog site probably every 15-20 minutes while we are here, so please keep the comments coming it is really nice to hear from you. I am really enJOYing my time w/ my beautiful bride of 11yrs even in the midst of this uncertainty, because we are both founded on the Rock of Christ Jesus who is our supplier, sustainer and EVER present help in this time of need! It is HE who is in complete control and to Whom we give our praise and thanksgiving.
Well it is time for me to get some shut eye! Talk to you all on the other side of the big event. Until then, GOODNIGHT!
to be continued...

Hey, Eric! (It's Mrs. Houda .. as you and other "E" like to call me.) I know you and I have talked a lot about Hayleigh's upcoming surgeries in the past but had no idea you were at DeVos already!
Your daughter has grown so much - she's beautiful! I'm thrilled that she's doing so well and that you and your family have all the love and support from each other and the faith in God that you need to carry you through what life continues to bring.
You have a really amazing, compassionate doctor in Dr. Grifka and the cardiology staff at DeVos. As a soon to be new mama, I have a new appreciation for the fragility of life and the emotions that the families I used to work with at DeVos must go through. I will pray for your family daily ... may God continue to bless you with his strength.
Tammy (aka "Houda")
FYI - the "Tipper" blog name comes from the fact that since I've been pregnant, many of my friends, family and a few people at work say every time I lean over to pick something up "careful you'll tip over" esp. now that I'm getting the pregnancy waddle. (kind of a running joke .. ha ha ha)
