Hayleigh was born with a congenital heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot. She had a successful repair June 2008 of the whole between the lower ventricles of her heart and the narrowing was opened up to provide adequate blood flow to her lungs. October 2009 she was diagnosed with a rare syndrome called Smith Magenis Syndrome (sms).

Looking great, sweet pea! Now it's time for your best nap ever! Sleep well so Mommy and Daddy can rest, too. You'll need lots of energy for your first trip to Florida! Cate can't wait for you to come and play--she's already had her own mommy up in the middle of the night to check up on you!
Much love from "Uncle" Jimmy & "Aunt" B in Crestview, FL
Hayleigh you look like you are resting painlessly, this should help mommy and daddy rest better. You sure do bring back some memories for Aunt Barb and Uncle Lee of Jordan when she had her surgery. We will have to show you when you are older! We love you and are so glad that everything went so well. All those prayers for you were answered! Keep healing!

We are still praying!

Wow that is a lot of tubes! I don’t know if its better or worse when you are a nurse to see all that! I do know as a parent that the tubes and machines could be over whelming. The good thing is those cute little creatures that God made are amazing! And tough too! In fact a quote from a Backyardagains episode “she’s extra extra tough” (I’ll explain the quote later). Cate looked the same way out of surgery and placed in the drug induced coma for rest as well. Cate is now home and is starting to get back on her daily routine. She was a month or so behind on the development progress when we got her home but it didn’t take her long at all to catch up to being her self again. Some members from our church that went through a similar thing gave us some heads up on that and it totally helped in preparing us for that so we weren’t surprised when we got her home. The info helped us out a ton ! Being a Nurse you probably know all about the IV pumps and the settings as well and how to stop them from alarming every 5 minutes. That should come in handy!
It looks like things are progressing well!! Hope you guys get some rest !! Don’t hesitate to give me a call Any Time of the day or during the night! My cell # is 850-826-2163
Talk to you soon!
Jimmy (from Florida)
We keep praying for all of you, especially Hayleigh! It is so nice to have the technology to keep us all up to date so we know how to pray. Hopefully today is a good day for everyone - rest, not stress!
